Our first upcoming day working in an Chinese company began by waking up at 7am in the morning. We quickly got dressed and went to a French bakery to buy two baguettes for breakfast. The day before we already bought some honey and nutella, that guranteed a tasty first meal of the day. We met with Zhu at 07:50 to walk together to the bus stop, where we met with teacher Chen. They wanted to show\/teach us the route we would have to take to get to our workplace from now on.
\nIt was a one hour drive to our new workplace at a firm called „Guo An Electronics“. The company is located on the 14’th and 15’th floor of the JM International Hotel.<\/p>\n

The working atmosphere seems nice. Its very bright and the rooms are well air-conditioned. The employees work in a small cubicals, but not as cramped as you see in the movies. We met with two employees Hang and Gong, unfortunately neither of them speak English. That is why the content of our conversation remaineded at a bare minimum. Quickly they set up two cubicals for us, but that was it. We hadn’t really been assigned a task or anything. Everyone was very forthcoming and friendly but lacking a real plan for us. Before lunch a female employee approached us and greeted us with:<\/p>\n

„Kommt Ihr aus Deutschland?“.
\nWe headed to lunch. Lunch was free and served, propably by the downstairs hotel, like a little buffet, where every employee could load their plate with what they desired. We sat down in a nice and expensive looking conference room to dine. The food was really delicious, except for the
\nTofu (surprise, surprise!), which smelled\/tasted like burned soil.<\/p>\n

After lunch I started a conversation with the female employee who recently talked German to us, here name is Lili. Turns out she can speak both German and English in addition to Chinese. We had found a translator. We started from the beginning, what the company does and what their plans were for us. The firm does quite a wide variety of services ranging from planning network infrastructure and installing it, to programming software for parking lots and elevators. The plan is that Alex and I are to scout out their different fields of work to find the best fitting place for us to help out. In the end
\nit seemed like the manager ordered Lili to become our own city guide, resulting in the plan, that one day a week she would visit the sights with us.<\/p>\n

We left work early and made our way to the Indigo Mall for a meal:

\nIt was a little bit too\u00a0greasy, but very delicious.<\/p>\n

On the way home, more interesting looking tenements:<\/p>\n

Now we are going to go take a nice crowded group shower and enjoy our few remaining hours of evening free time.<\/p>\n
