So, Friday<\/a> was pretty nice but what should I do on the weekend then?
\nWell, I thought that sticking to a motto of the company I work for, might be the answer to that.
\n
\nSo I decided to go for a short trip<\/a>(click for a plot of the route) despite the truly disastrous weather forecast…
\nHaving woken up early in the morning @6am I had to take in some extra caffeine to kick-start myself. After that I didn’t even mind that I had to change buses (which allowed me to grab another coffee on the go) on my way to my first planned stop in Enniskillen.

\nThe rain which was pouring for a while now, became more and more intense…
\n
\nI decided that it\u2019s time to grab something to eat and get another coffee fix. I had a gigantic ulster fry which took me an hour to fight with (those reading this and knowing what i call a big portion and the usual speed I wolf through a meal, can just imagine…). Having the most important meal of the day taken care of I was eager to start my tour which was much more pleasant with a food high (for some of us in Germany also known as „fratzikoma“).
\nAs you can see in this photograph of a memorial which had some stunning light effects caused by an installation of mirrors…

\n…there wasn’t much to see because of the weather I mentioned. As i found out in the tourist information centre, all tours were cancelled too, so I had to make the best of my stay in Enniskillen and was exploring the city looking for some fitting motifs.

\nAs you can see a simple fountain<\/em> in the middle of a lake<\/em> can make all the difference if the weather is just right \ud83d\ude00
\nWhile waiting for the bus to Omagh…
\n
\n…I left all my cares behind me and just relaxed a bit.
\nIn the bus to Omagh I had the chance to dry my stuff a little and check the plan for the rest of the day…
\n
\n… which was pretty packed.
\nAs I arrived in Omagh the rain got so heavy that I had to retreat pretty quickly because I forgot to bring my rubber boots…
\n
\nBut I had some time to talk to the people in the Omagh arts centre (which was pleasantly dry btw.). So it’s no use to be an angry bird<\/a> because I’ve already seen a lot that day and after I arrived in Derry in the evening I also had a chance get a glimpse at the Sperrin Mountains.
\nAfter I left Derry and headed home I was rewarded with some sunlight which lasted for roughly 15min.
\n
\nYepp, that’s another one for the collection (guess what, (amateur) photographers like to „collect“ rare motifs like this (or lightning etc.)).
\nAfter arriving in Belfast, I had to<\/em> go for some serious clubbin‘ with Sven and Sascha until 4am ‚till all the caffeine(9 cups of coffee + 4 red bulls) has worn off.
\nWe even, selfless as we are, helped some girls celebrating a bechelor party to have some proper fun…
\nOne could say, we attended the „End of the world afterparty“ just to sum up this evening and to refer to my colleague from Dublin<\/a>.
\nBut if you think that’s all for one weekend…
