Giants Causeway

Finally I had tickets for the Giants causeway today. I was really excited as I heard many times how beautiful it should be. My expectations were exceeded.

The tour startet at 9.35am (half hour delayed) at Belfast buscentre. It continued with a short photostop at Carrickfergus Castle.

The Carrickfergus Castle

We drove about two hours to get to Carrick-a-Rede afterwards. It was really amazing because of the wonderful and impressive nature considering of huge cliffs and wild Irish sea.

We had lunch at around 2pm which was cutted steam with Guinness pie and a tasty Guinness as a drink.
The Bushmills distillery was just a 15 minutes drive further. Unfortunately we didn’t had the time to get into it but we visited the shop where I bought a dip mat with a Bushmills logo.

Finally we arrived at the Giants causeway. Of caurse my girlfriend and I had chosen the „tough path“ which was clearly the better choice. We enjoyed such a nice view over the cilffs and the Atlantic Sea. At the end of our path we had to go 150 steps downstairs to get to the Giants Causeway.

Finally: the Giants Causeway

After arriving we relaxed at bit, took many pictures and savoured the moment.
As it was time to go back we walked directly beside the ocean to our bus. On the tour back we made a quick stop to take a photo of another castle.
We arrived in Belfast at around 6.30pm

I enjoyed this day so much. I love this nature, the weather was perfect and it was worth every penny!
