You know those days where you wake up, go to work, and expect absolutely nothing exciting to happen? Yeah\u2026 me too. And this episode is exactly that<\/em>. Spoiler alert: my life is not an action movie. At best, it’s an experimental student film with no budget and too much existential silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, work. Or should I say \u201cthe thrilling adventure of staring at a monitor while no one speaks for 8 hours\u201d<\/em>. On paper? Our project looks like Iron Man built it. In reality? It’s IKEA furniture with no instructions and missing screws. We\u2019re supposed to help with the web development, but none of us are actual web developers, so\u2026 imagine a bunch of housecats trying to build a spaceship. We tried. We failed. We accepted our fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The office vibe? Dead silent. Like, \u201cyou drop a pen and suddenly feel like you\u2019ve committed war crimes\u201d-silent. The air is so dry and serious, even my sarcasm needs a hydration break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now let\u2019s talk about my epically cursed<\/strong> journey to work today. Everything started off normal: me, on time, taking the metro like a functioning adult. Then came the tram. Enter stage left: Grandpa with a broken arm who clearly thought he was starring in \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 Senior Edition.\u201d<\/em> He tried to leap into the tram as if salvation was inside. One kind soul pulled the emergency brake to help him. Sweet, right? WRONG. That little red lever apparently kills the tram. We all got kicked out like unwanted side characters after 10 minutes of standing around watching the driver Google \u201chow to un-screw tram.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eventually another tram came. I got in. All was well. UNTIL…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plot twist:<\/strong> the tram yeeted itself away<\/em> from the tunnel it was supposed<\/em> to go into. I was like, \u201cWait a minute… aren\u2019t we supposed to turn left<\/em>, not into freakin\u2019 Fern-Valencia?\u201d The tram pulled a reverse UNO card<\/em> on all of us and drove to god-knows-where. The next train back? 30 minutes away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I thought, why not turn this disappointment into a detour? Walked around. Found some massive event halls and what I\u00a0think<\/em>\u00a0was a Velodrome. Maybe for swimming? Maybe for ritual sacrifices? Valencia\u2019s wild like that. Also, it was\u00a030 degrees<\/strong>\u00a0and no shade in sight, so I think I grilled a bit. Pretty sure I leveled up in skin tone\u2014call me Toasted now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not everything was doom and sunburn! Earlier this week, I had a heartwarming Facetime call with my bestie (hi boo), plus Jimmy and Flo were there too. A rare, wholesome moment in this sitcom of a life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P.S.<\/strong>\u00a0I downloaded Duolingo. You\u2019d think I\u2019m learning Spanish, right? HA. Wrong show. I started learning\u00a0Mandarin<\/strong> because my brain decided, \u201cLet\u2019s go full chaos.\u201d Fanlai\u2019s helping me with pronunciation and honestly? It\u2019s kind of fun. The grammar\u2019s easier than Spanish. The tones? Manageable. The characters? A beautiful nightmare. But hey\u2014baby steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moral of the story?<\/strong>
Never trust a tram. Never underestimate a grandpa. And when in doubt? Learn Mandarin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
