SYNOPSIS

Pour faire plaisir à sa femme dépressive, Philippe Abrams, directeur à la Poste, fraude afin d’obtenir une mutation sur la Côte d’Azur. Mais il est démasqué: il sera muté à Bergues, petite ville du Nord. A sa grande surprise, il découvre un endroit charmant, une équipe chaleureuse, des gens accueillants, et se fait un ami : Antoine, le facteur et le carillonneur du village, à la mère possessive et aux amours contrariées. SYNOPSIS

Um seiner depressiven Ehefrau eine Freude zu machen und seine Versetzung an die Côte d’Azur zu erwirken, unternimmt der Postdirektor Philippe Abrams einen Manipulationsversuch. Aber er fliegt auf und wird nach Bergues, eine kleine Stadt im Norden Frankreichs, versetzt. Zu seiner großen Überraschung lernt er einen charmanten Ort, eine herzliche Belegschaft und gastfreundliche Menschen kennen und schließt Freundschaft mit Antoine, dem Briefträger und Glöckner des Ortes, zu dem eine Besitz ergreifende Mutter und eine verhinderte Liebe gehören.

Et les utilise pour dégommer gentiment d’autres poncifs, côté obscur : le froid, la misère, la mine, l’alcoolisme et la grisaille supposée de l’existence au pays des terrils. Eine schlechte, aber akzeptable Komödie

[…] Warum ist ‘Willkommen bei den Sch’tis trotz seiner Belanglosigkeit eindeutig empfehlenswerter, als die ungenießbaren Komödien von Jugnot oder Krawczyk[1]? Weil bei Boon das Klischee eine Ausgangsbasis für eine bewundernswerte Skurrilität bildet und kein Gefängnis, das die Figuren in einem rückwärtsgewandten, nationalchauvinistischen Ideal gefangen hält.

Eine wirkliche Übersetzung hätte wohl aber zum Sächsisch greifen und Willkommen bei den Ossis heißen müssen, um die Mischung an Vorurteilen und wirtschaftlicher Misere zu reproduzieren, die bei den Sch´tis für Lacher sorgt. Mais une vraie traduction aurait bien dû avoir recours au saxon et se nommer « Bienvenue chez les Ossis »[2] afin de reproduire le mélange de préjugés et de misère économique qui suscitent les rieurs chez les « Ch’tis ».
