The colour code is as follows: Black=expression of interest, light red=desk rejection; orange=waiting for submission; grey=under review red=rejected after review; light green=forthcoming; dark green=published.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The most active series are <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/sidl\">Studies in Diversity Linguistics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/tbls\">Textbooks in Language Sciences<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/eotms\"><span class=\"seriesTitle\">Em\u00adpir\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly Ori\u00adent\u00aded The\u00ado\u00adret\u00adi\u00adcal Mor\u00adphol\u00ado\u00adgy and Syn\u00adtax<\/span>.<\/a> When considering only the works which have actually undergone review, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/silp\">Studies in Laboratory Phonolog<\/a>y, <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/cfls\">Conceptual Foundations of Language Science<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/series\/cmle\">Computational Models of Language Evolution<\/a> are also doing well. Network effects apply: as soon as some books are out, the series gets better known and more submissions follow.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 17 series, up from 7 when the project started. The following figure\u00a0 shows the evolution of the number of books and the number of series. The figure also shows the evolution of expressions of interest. As a rule of thumb, we get about one expression of interest for a book a week. This excludes downloads by search engine robots. Note that\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/book\/46\">Einf\u00fchrung in die grammatische Beschreibung des Deutschen<\/a> (green triangle), <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/book\/76\">New directions in corpus-based translation studies<\/a> (yellow triangle) and <a href=\"https:\/\/langsci-press.org\/catalog\/book\/49\">The Talking Heads Experiment <\/a>(inverted green triangle) show a more bumpy pattern.<\/p>\n<p>The countries where most readers come\u00a0 from are Germany, China, the US and Ukraine, showing interest from East and West alike. We rely on the community for authoring and reviewing, but also for typesetting and proofreading. Among all published books, 43 linguists from all over the world have participated in proofreading. Many more will be found in the upcoming books. There are currently 139 proofreaders registered with\u00a0 Language Science Press.
