About our First Annual Conference

The Cluster of Excellence EXC 2020 “Temporal Communities. Doing Literature in a Global Perspective” presents its first Annual Conference “Worlds of Literature – Competing Notions of the Global” (July 7-9, 2021). Co-organised by the Cluster’s Research Area 1 “Competing Communities” (Moderators: Frank Kelleter and Miltos Pechlivanos) and Chunjie Zhang (UC Davis), the event will take place online.

As part of the conference, the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin will host a reading by Argentinian poet Sergio Raimondi (July 8, 8:15 p.m. CET), after which the poet will talk with Susanne Klengel (EXC Temporal Communities) about archae, seagulls and gas pipelines. The collaborative event will be streamed online on the website of our partner www.lcb.de.
