Hello everyone!

Last Friday Tim and I went together with Max from the FSZ 22 class to the weekend market next to the building we are currently working at. It is a big hall with lots and lots of people selling and buying their stuff there. They have everything. From clothes and plants to food and erverything you can imagine. We went there around for like an hour just looking at all that cool stuff and then we got hungry. We looked around for what food we would like to eat and then we found that little stand that said „Probably the best Burger in Belfast“. So we had no longer to choose. Tim took „The cheesy one“ and Max and I took the „Bacon Burger“. The guy that made the burgers asked me what kind of sauce I would like to have on my burger so I asked him if he could recommend me something and he said „For me blue cheese sauce is always the choice!“ so I said „bring it on man“. I have to say that that burger was really amazing. I dont often eat burger with that quality and that freshness. Also the burger were done directly in front of you so you can suffer until you get your burger because you are so damn hungry. Have a picture!

New Jobs

Hello everyone!

Tim and I got the information that they will change our tasks at work. No longer moving tables around and no longer des holders. Those times are over now and we will move into the sweet glory of the first level support. I am really looking forward to that because thats a work I am more handy with, but that also means that we are no longer working with Peter anymore which is quite sad because Peter is a funny nice guy and I enjoined working with him. We will also change our building where are we working at, so now our way is a bit shorter. Lets we how everything will turn out next week.

Midweek Madness

Hi everyone!
Tim managed it for us to get better working conditions. So next week we can finaly start to do some IT work. Our task will be to set up multiple training rooms for the new hired people and we also get to work with Macs and some network related stuff. All in all I am really looking forward to that. Also there is a thing that is constantly bothering me this week. I am so sleepy. Everytime I got home I go to bed. I don’t know why but even after getting up I am still tired. One time I slept like 17 hours. I hope that will change in the next time.

My work experience: Firday

Hi everybody!

Now I am going to talk about last friday and what we experienced. The thing is that friday nearly half of the building is empty because there aren’t so much people working at friday. Thats means that we also have less to do at work. We had nearly a three hours break because there was nothing to do at that time and when we worked it was just finishing the other tasks from the days before. So yeah we also asked Peter if we could get more IT related tasks to do but he toled us that this is not his desicion and we have to wait another week or two to get better tasks. After work I went to the Victoria Centre tand took a nice view over Belfast even if the weather was not so good.

My work experience: Thursday

Hi there guys!

Our third day was kinda like the second they you just have to switch the plaster part with cleaning out the hall on on the third floor. It was a mess! I have to say I never so so many I Mac cases at one place. We made a fun out of it and stacked them as high as we could. The task took a awfull lot of time.First we had to get everything out and then we have to put it back but better so that there is more place and then to put there even more stuff from the other floors. It took us the whole day to manage it but I am really proud of our final product. This day Tim and I decided to go to that mexican restaurant next to that Fish and Chips place. I got a Chilli Beef Burrito and it was really good!

My work experience: Wednesday

Hi everybody!

At Wednesday we started our second task. We had to install desk holders for the PCs also one problem there we had just one drill. So Tim was the one who were constantly under the table with the drill and my job then was it to install the holders. Then Peter called us because he needed help with the first aid kits. So we splited into groups and went through the building to fill up missing parts in the first aid kit. It took us nearly the entire day because this building is so huge. Tim legs were hurting this day because he was training so hard the last days at the gym. So we decided to get us a taxi to go home.

Oh and I forgot to say that Tim and I found a restaurant where they sell Fish and Chips for lunch for just 3,50!

My work experience: Tuesday

Hello everyone!

Tuesday was my real first day at work because now we started to work. I am working together with Tim and Max from the FSZ 22 class. We met us at 8:50 at the main building from concentrix to get our security passes and you really need them there because you can’t open one door without using it. It took some time until we got our passes because they had much trouble at the moment but last but not least we got them. Then we went to the Lesley Exchange building, the place where we are going to work the most. There we met Peter, he is some sort of janitor but with much more tasks and responsebilties. Peter gave us our first job which was to set up a trainings room with PC, IP telephones and stuff like that. We thought that would be an easy task but we proofed wrong there. It was kind of a difficult job because so many parts where missing a lot of cables and some monitors. We had to scavange to whole building to find everything and it took us the whole week to find everything and that was the only thing we did that day.

First day of work

Hello everybody!

Today Tim and I had our kinda first day at work. What do I mean? Yeah The first day we had were more like an introduction to the company itself and that was quite intresting. I forgot to say that I am now working for the IT Support at Concentrix. Concentrix provides phone, chat and mail support for other companies like Microsoft, EA and Kings(Candycrush) and just took of the customer support from IBM so they jumped from 6000 employees to 45000 employees and in the next month 1000 more will join them. Thats quite a number of people and of course those people need a place to work and I think that will be our job. I think we will set up the workplacements for most of the time and of course support the people who are currently working but what we acactly hove to do will us told tommorow, our first official first day at work where we going to meet our co-workers. I am looking forward to meet them. My first impression of the company is that those people are all nice and flexible and I hope my first impression wasn’t wrong. That’s what we will see tommorow.

First week of Belfast

Hello everybody!

This is it, this was our first week in Belfast. I will make this resume quite short. It was awesome! We met some new and nice people, got to see some of Belfast, ate some irish food and drunk some irish Guinness. My favourite part this week was when we met Jane at the „Dirty Onion“ and learned how to play the Bodhrán, because it was an typical irish pub with all that irish flair I imagined. Now we have to see what the next week has to show us, because now it is getting serious.

I am gladly looking forward to that!

First free weekend in Belfast

Hi everyone!

Like it was said in the title that was our first free weekend we had in Belfast but it wasnt that spectacular like you could imagine. Most of the time we were sitting at home and were watching the british television. I for myself love british television shows like „Doctor Who“ or „Sherlock“ are really awesome shows with a lot of drama and thrill. today however we decided to go out and have a little BBQ. The weather was like always not the best but we got that going for us. The hardest thing at the BBQ was to get it started because a the wet air the fire extinguished really quick but after some time we finally made it and the meat was well done like it has to be. Now we are justing in our flat and relax ourleves because tomorrow is our first day of work.
