Soccer game pub thing

Hello everyone!

Yeah I had no better idea for the title than that but I think it sums it up perfectly. Yesterday Tim, Martin, Marco, Leo and I went to that pub 15 min away from our arpartments to watch the soccer game Germany versus Ghana. The pub was okay but I think it was a bit to crowded at first but the later it got the emptier it was and the game was nice to watch. It is something sad that it was just a draw because we needed to win to be sure in the next round. Now we can’t loose against USA in the next round or else we are out of the game.

Q-Con

Hello everyone!

I have to say that this weekend was my favorite weekend of all and that because of Q-Con. Q-Con is an gaming and Anime Convention with a lot of cosplayers like the ComicCon but with less comics and more mangas. It was a good experience because I met a lot of people which were all super nice and you can have a nice conversation with them. The funny thing is that this time when I went to a con that I talked more with the traders and the con staff than with cosplayers or other atendees like I normaly do.

Merch. Everytime I am visiting a convention or something similiar I have to buy loads of merch either is it pony stuff or something anime related, even if I can’t do anything with it atleast it is a nice present for my friends in berlin.

Weekend

Hello everyone,

Tim, Eric, Leo, Nick, Marco and I watched the soccer game Germany against Ghana in a pub yesterday. We had to walk over 15 minutes but the pub was ok not the best but it was ok. There were a lot of people, I dont know if they were there because of the game but it was full in the pub.
In my opinion Germany had to win but they didnt so it was only a draw. Germany won against Portugal in a 4:0 but not against Ghana. I dont know why but maybe they win the next game against the USA so they can get to the next round.

Bushmills

Hello everyone,

today Rene, Tim and I visited the bushmills company.
We traveled by train and bus and it takes over 2 hours for one trip but it worth, it was very interesting. We had a guide through the company and saw how they produce there whiskey, it was very exciting.
Bushmills exists now for over 400 years. In the year 1608 they made all with hands and now it is all automated. I recommend the trip for everyone.
I bought some presents for my family but it was very expensive but to me its worth it and my parents will be very lucky about that.

A late report about our weekly cinema visit

Hi there!

Of course we were this Tuesday in the cinema too. We watched 22 Jump Street and this time in a more or less big cinema hall. It was really funny, for me even funnier as A Million Ways to Die in the West. Actually the story was nothing new, because the series followed its old manners. And even the closing credits were charmingly self deprecating, they showed a dozen of possible continuations of the series with the complete same story and new villians. But that were definitively my last nachos there in the cinema, because the evening was mixture of heartburn, nausea and vomiting, but admittedly the basis was also not the best. 😀

Another modification to my JavaScript

Hi there!

As announced in my previous posts, I implemented the Gray Out effect this week. The first step for that was to display the number of sponsorships for each child somewhere and somehow on the page, so that we have a basis to work with. I used an input field for that, where I set the hidden attribute and thanks to C# I could use the „@item.Sponsorships.Count“ statement to set the value attribute of the input field to the number of sponsorships. So now that I had a hidden input field with the number of sponsorships above every delete button I could worry about the JavaScript part. I could figure out quickly how to get the value of the input fields with JavaScript and the actual Gray out effekt was also not a problem, but I wanted to display the Gray Out effekt onload and not with an onClick event or something, so I asked an befriended developer from Germany for help, who really had a cool working function for that up his sleeve. After that I read something about website optimization and tried that on my JavaScript to relax a bit.

the week in total

Hello everyone,

now its only one week to go and in 7 days we are back in germany.
The time went very fast and i cant believe it that now are 7 weeks over.

Today we want to watch the soccer game Germany against Ghana and I hope that the germans wins again like the game Germany against Portugal with a 4:0.
That will be great but have a look if Germany can do it.

On work i finished it to backup a virtual maschine to a network folder and restore the virtual maschine frome the virtual harddisk and it works that you can copy the virtual maschine to another instance of Hyper Manager and the Virtual Maschine will be create automaticlly.

Paperwork and bowling

I spended most of the Thursday to finish the last Papers that needed to be filled out for the Europass.
Samantha my Contactperson here at KNI helped me to fill it out as well as doing a „trainee skills assessment“ for Intern Europe. Later that day me and most of my co-worker met at the Odyssey to go bowling. After we finished bowling we went to the Northern Whig to eat and of course watch the football match Uruguay against England.

To much work

Hello everyone!

Normally Tim and I don’t have that much to do at work but this time and with this time I mean yesterday we had so much work to do it wasn’t funny anymore. We worked like ten hours through and that from the beginnig straight to the end. Also we had to change the builing like 4 times the day. From Lesley to Lanyon, from Lanyon to River house, from River House to Lanyon and from Lanyon to River House again and we had to walk everytime because the just fit 3 people in the car but we were actualy 4.

Just 9 days

Hello everyone!

It looks like it is going to an end and I just simply can’t believe that we just have 9 days to go and I am looking more and more foward to get home and to have a big party with all of my friends and my family, I am also looking foward to german food. The first thing I will do after I landed in germany is that I go to the Döner stand next to my flat and order a Döner for bloody 10 euros. Also I want some cheap Ice Tea because I just couldn’t find any in any store.
