many orders

My colleague and me created in team work an new voucher code function in php. The function shows only the voucher code on the bills of the orders. Also we created a new java script function to open the size guide in a pop up window.

Until the lunch i was working on the taks which i got from Colm. I have to create a function which allows to hide same subcategories from the sidebar. For that do you need a second function where do you can tip in the id´s from the subcategories on the back end to exclude the subcategories from the sidebar.

After the lunch I most helped Jarek to work on the orders because of we had nearly 30 orders which had to finish the orders at 4 o´clock p.m.. We packed the last order and in the same second the postmen was ring on the door to pick up the boxes.

The Royal Wedding

Colm ( the IT specialist from lymric) taked a free day. So I couldn´t test my function because I hadn´t the permission to test my function without Colm.

The Royal Wedding was very important for the company because they fited out a woman from the TV. And the woman reported about the royal wedding. On the whold campus fashion city exist onyl one topic … what do you think about that dress from … ?

My tasks after the lunch was to change some prices on the website and to have a look to the seo titel and description.

My work day ended with the passing of my colleague from Bottrop.

Now is week end!

Try and error

After my self study of java script I try to create a function for a new pop up window. My colleague made an exchange at one file from the website. After the exchange the website dosn´t work properly. The IT-specialist from Lymric had to solve the problem.After the „crash“ from the website  I couldn´t test my java script function on the test server because the area from the test site wasn´t included in the backup.

The remaining time I helped my colleague to work on the orders.

Video and Java

Hi,

I have to make two videos. The first video is about Caroline. She works for the tv channel fyi and doo-lally.com clothed Caroline for her TV appearances.

It´s not easy to choose the right images and music.

Some ideas for the videos were to buisness like or the ideas were to crazy. The same task I have to do with Kristeen´s images. She works for the tv channel rte3.

I have to edit the side bar on the website. I have to write a new java script function. So first I most read a lot about java script.

Website

We talked about the website www.doo-lally.com.

We said our ideas to improve the website. Some ideas were prossible to change. My colleague wrote a new java script and I made the changes for the login in on the website. The result were a better overviewe for the customer.

After the work were easter and now I will enjoy my easter days.

Meeting with Colm

Yesterday was the meeting with the IT-specialist Colm.

He showed us the functions and tools behind the website.

He created a test area for us. But before we cloud work on the system we had to read some articles about the system. Now we could test our ideas to improve the speed of WordPress.

Some changes make WordPress faster. These changes were taken on the main website.

The next day we will talk with Colm about the homepage www.doo-lally.com

yesterday was a normal day.

Are you sure?

No!

The work was similar to the other work days. We had to improve the website and we had to prepare us for the meeting with Colm. Colum is the it-specialist of the company. He will answers us our questions.

I was back at the apartments and I took the elevator like everyday. I pushed the button for the 6th floor where is my apartment. After few seconds it was shortly dark in the elevator and the elevator was stuck between the 4th and the 5th floor. I pushed the alarm button I only heard 20 minutes “ please hold the line, all phones are busy“.  After 20 minutes i could talk to a person that the elevator got suck. My colleagues asked me if everything is fine. After 58 minutes I had so thirst and I got the feeling that the doors were closer as at first as now. The skilled worker arrived and he solved the problem of the elevator. I was on the ground floor and I asked me if I should use the stairs. I made my decision very fast: I take the elevator.

This was my day.

short before weekend

Hi,

Today we met the other colleagues from the company.

Helen is responsible for us and told us a little bit more about the company.

We haven’t only the task to work on our projects. We had to introduce our colleagues about the improvements from the website and the same is valid for every other task.

The colleagues have to understand how important is seo (search engine optimization) for a website of a company and how they can improve the seo by your own.

Finally we had to prepare the rooms for the selling tomorrow.

And now I go out and enjoy the nightlife of Dublin.

We have a new challenge

We have a second company in the office and we help us each other. The second company is a fashion agency. Karen gave us the challenge to build up a new website for the company. The new website should only inform the customers about the brands, events and the agency. Also the website doesn’t become an online shop. First we have to create a very good layout for the website and also a good structure is important. We must note the design for the logo of the agency (Corporate Identity). We had to implement a password protected area where we had to implement a blog. We will build up the website of the topics are important for the seo.

I find this is a interesting challenge.

A normal work day

Hi everybody,

First we had a meeting with Karen and we discussed the ideas to improve the website. The content of the discussion was to find out which ideas are possible and which are impossible to implement on the website.

The Doo-Lally website has same problems with the speed. The backend is the reason why the website is load so slowly. Also we had to find out how we can speed up WordPress.

I asked Karen why the company is call doolally. You have to know doolally is similar to go crazy. The team went doolally to find a name for the company. That is the reason for the name of the company.
