Paul Panser – Back to Work

Hi there folks.

Yeah, Tuesday was my first day at work after so many days off. It was quite nice to relax for the time, because I was very busy and had some trouble in Berlin right before the exchange to Belfast.

So I came fresh and with new power back to work. Unfortunately there was not much to do, so I used the time to study some topics like RAID – Systems, Server Security and other server-related topics in the Server+ Certification Bible.

On Wednesday I almost did the same like the day before. Those days exist, too. You can’t do anything about it, so I used the day to study again and to write my blog entrys, because I was really lazy about writing these in the past days.

In the evening I chatted a little bit with my friends back in germany.

One more thing to add: Happy Birthday to my cousine Laura ♥♥♥

See ya folks!

Jonas – half full, half empty

Hi there,

those who have a calender might have already noticed: it’s half time and a lot of stuff happened already.

What happened last weekend? We made a trip through Ireland – and we didn’t know Mateusz could mobilize the lazy Belfast guys too. However our trip was much better. Unfortunately the other guys are really slow when they have to share pictures and stuff.

Paul Panser – Fitness Studio? I got work!

What’s up folks?!

Now I’m sitting here at the office from Steria with a muscle ache. Why is that you ask? I will tell you!

On Monday Andrew and I met with Simon at the Victoria Square Center.  We drove to the very east of Belfast to a big warehouse of the government company I worked for the last couple of days. I still don’t know if I am allowed to tell you it’s name, so I won’t do it. Steria delegated a company to deliver six recks to the warehouse. For those of you who don’t know what a reck is: A reck is like a two metre high cupboard made of heavy metal where you can put in and combine many servers. „Paul Panser – Fitness Studio? Jonas Ehrhardt – ready for holiday

Hi folks,

today is my last day of work this week. Due to upcoming Easter we will get Friday and Monday free. If I understood correct Monday is an official holiday and Friday is an unofficial holiday but almost every company is closed. Additional we will get an extra day off to make some longer trips or just relax(but the weather is still good so only fools will stay at home).

Paul Panser – Finally got real work

Hi there,

yeah let’s continue to talk about what I have done so far.

Thursday I was supposed to meet with Barry, another peer from my project, in front of the BT Tower. There we had to re-install the anti virus of about 30 laptops. It was simple, I just had to deinstall the old version and then to install the new version of the AV-programm trough the network. After that he explained to me what the servers in their serverroom exactly do. „Paul Panser – Finally got real work“ weiterlesen

short before weekend

Hi,

Today we met the other colleagues from the company.

Helen is responsible for us and told us a little bit more about the company.

We haven’t only the task to work on our projects. We had to introduce our colleagues about the improvements from the website and the same is valid for every other task.

The colleagues have to understand how important is seo (search engine optimization) for a website of a company and how they can improve the seo by your own.

Finally we had to prepare the rooms for the selling tomorrow.

And now I go out and enjoy the nightlife of Dublin.

the week after the weekend

yeah, you couldn’t read much from me lately.
I still work at the same place. The task i’m busy with at the moment is the SEO of the homepage. SEO means search enginge optimization and is to get the page on the first page of google. We have a meeting once a day, where all of us sit together and dicuss how we can populate our page and get more traffic on it without spending a cent (besides the cost for the internet access 😉 ). No cost is also the policy for the workers here. I have 5 co-workers here which are all unpaid students. Three from spain who can hardly speak any english. It’s sometimes hard to understand them, a chinese who speaks english very well and then there is Virginia from the other FSZ class. All tasks here are those of a webdeveloper. Not exactly the type of work i hoped for, but it’s interisting too.

the private part is kept a secret on purpose. I’m not the guy who needs or wants to tell the world what I am doing the whole day. And because this blog is found in google i keep that part for me

best regards and have a nice friday
