Zeitzeugen erinnern sich
… im Zuge des Volksaufstandes 1956 aus Ungarn geflohen. Er ist Ungarndeutscher und studierte an der agrarwissenschaftlichen Hochschule in Mosonmagyarovar nahe der österreichischen Grenze. Am 26. Oktober 1956 kam es dort zu einer Massendemonstration unter Führung von Studenten und Lehrern, die von den russischen Truppen blutig niedergeschlagen wurde und bei der 141 Menschen verletzt und 55 getötet wurden. Dieses Ereignis ging als Massaker von Mosonmagyarovar in die Geschichte ein. Ihm gelang es zu entkommen. Da er bei der Demonstration als Russisch-Ungarisch-Dolmetscher in Erscheinung getreten war und nun von den russischen Behörden gesucht wurde, entschied er sich über Österreich nach Deutschland zu flüchten. Dort beendete er sein Studium, heiratete und ließ sich im Saarland nieder. Als Folge seiner Flucht wurde sein Erbteil in Ungarn zwangseingezogen und er konnte erst 1964 nach dem Erlass einer Amnestie wieder nach Ungarn einreisen. Er fuhr fast jedes Jahr mit seiner Familie im Sommer nach Ungarn, um die dort verbliebenen Verwandten zu besuchen. Bei der Beantragung der Reisevisa sah er sich behördlichen Schikanen vonseiten der ungarischen Botschaft in Bonn ausgesetzt, so erhielt er sein Visum als einziger in der Familie immer erst am Tag vor der Abreise. Er war ebenso davon überzeugt, dass die ungarische Staatssicherheit ein Auge auf ihn geworfen hatte und verhielt sich in Ungarn daher sehr vorsichtig und zurückhaltend. Auch gegenüber DDR-Bürgern, die ebenfalls in Ungarn Urlaub machten, bewahrte er stets Vorsicht und Misstrauen, aus Angst vor einer möglichen Bespitzelung. Ein Austausch zwischen West- und Ostdeutschen kam daher nicht zustande…
