Ein Rückblick auf die Exkursion zum Thema „Sommer im Sozialismus“

Auf unserem Roadtrip nach Prag, den Balaton, Budapest, ins osterreich-ungarische Grenzgebiet nach Sopron und nach Wien haben wir versucht auf den Spuren von Ost-West Kontakten unter anderem mit Hilfe von Zeitzeugen das Ende des Kalten Krieges nach zu vollziehen. Dabei waren diese Gespräche besonders eindrücklich. Sie zeugten von Hilfsbereitschaft, dem Auflehnen gegen ein totalitäres Regime aber auch der Angst vor dem selben. Insgesamt waren es gerade diese Gespräche die mich nachdenklich gemacht haben. So soll man zwar die Geschichte nicht als Lehrmeister für die Gegenwart ansehen, dennoch drängt sich die Frage auf, wie man sich in diesen Situationen verhalten hätte und ob man sich derzeit richtig verhält. Denn totalitäre Regime und Menschen die auf der Flucht für ein besseres Leben dieses riskieren sind seit 1989 nicht aus unserer Welt verschwunden. Ich gehöre einer Generation in einem Land an, die weder Grenzkontrollen noch die Angst vor den Machthabern in diesem Land kennt. Vielleicht ist es darum die Aufgabe dieser Generation den Prozess von 1989 weiter zuführen, sodass jegliche Geschichten von Flucht bald nur noch der Vergangenheit angehören.
