Hi there busy readers!
The first week in Belfast had started early on Monday. We were supposed to meet with Kevin Shine at the RSM Tenon Office. He introduced us to the working life in Belfast and told us how we have to behave. After that some of us had their first interviews with their work placements. The rest of us, me included, were free for the rest of the day and went trough the shopping area around the Victoria Street. We drank some coffee and searched for an electronics shop. Maybe you don’t believe me, but I think there is only one shop in Belfast which sells only electronics stuff. On top of that the shop is called „Currys“… That’s why we passed by this shop many times before since we found out that this is an electronics shop xD. But it is still nothing compared to Media Markt or Saturn we all know. I bought a webcam to chat with my friends and my family via video. And so I chatted with my father via skype at the evening with this new webcam. It were good to see the face and hear the voice of someone really precious to me. When you read this paps, I miss you :/
The next day on Tuesday I had to meet with Ruth in front of the City Hall where we met with Sven and Annette two days before. She introduced me to my company „Steria“, which is next to the city centre. I dressed up really good in a suit with a vest and all, but it was a little bit to much. I have to dress smart and was told to come the next day at half nine. That’s it… nothing more, that was my first „day at work“. So, I had the rest of the day off. Since I have to dress smart I bought a new suit trousers and two more fitting shirts at the City Mall. In the end I ended up playing most of the time with Kai on our laptops.
Wednesday was my first day at work. My tutor is called Christy, and no he is male. He showed me around the office and introduced me to everyone. This office has about 30 employees , many names to remember! A man called Matt introduced me to the daily work for the project I will work in. I found out that he lives right next to us, what a surprise!!! How small the world is =). They are all very kind and friendly people there and I think the work will be very enjoyable with them around. At the afternoon I already had my first meeting! The Irish sure are talking fast, but I think I will get used to it after some weeks. I am all fired up! I will do my best!
P.S.: Note to myself: When you walk through the City dressed smart, you will get many looks from beautiful women 😀
Here again some pictures:
I don’t know what that is, but it looked great =) (maybe a memorial?!)
That’s the entry of the Victoria Square Center. Looks quite inviting, doesn’t it?
You ask: „What is this thing?“….3…2…1… It’s a stairway at the Center!!! O.o
A cup of coffee?? FALSE! That was a cup of tea!!!!! Don’t worry… I was fooled, too ^^
And at the end my sky view when I had a cigarette earlier. Sorry I have to post this. I’m kinda weak to those views =)
wow…..

I wish you a lot of fun and interesting acquaintances
