just a pipe dream

As I have written before, the project I’m working on at Translink, allowed me to have certain liberties and gave me the perspective of extending my stay here.
Well, this is not going to happen. I’m not sure if I should be sad or happy about this.
Mr. Bavar and my boss Mr. Assmann evaluated the possibilities but the project I am supposed to begin after coming back to Berlin is an urgent one and cannot be postponed. It is sad to leave my colleagues and the country I’ve just gotten used to but in the end that’s what everybody else also has to cope with too.
Another point of relevance is that the project I’m going to start in Berlin will be my final examination project for my apprenticeship, so obviously that’s something I’m looking forward to.

Luckily I have two colleagues assigned to help me finish the project in time. One, learning the code structure and writing the documentation for me, the other one, supplying me with new data sources to inject into the database. So in the end i do work in a team 🙂
