Wednesday and the airport

hey,

my wednesday at work was a short one. I asked Fiona, if I could book a flight at 5.30pm to germany because it would be 70€ cheaper than flying on thursday. Because of that, i needed to be on the airport around 3pm. Lucky for me, Fiona offered me, to drop me off at the airport. So I spent the first hours at work, continuing the work on the CRM we started the day before. Then we made a bit brainstorming to analyse, what we had to do on the CRM system to accomplish everything, Fiona wants. And yes, we understood her thoughts a lot better the next day. So we created a timeplan, how long which task would take us. Around 2pm i finished my reports for the social networks and my daily report, what i had accomplished. After i finished that i packed my things and went to the other room. There was the daily meeting. But the daily meeting took longer than expected. Spanish people love to talk. So around 3.30pm we drove off to the airport. It was hot this day so it was very nice, that Fiona drives a BMW cabriolet. At the airport everything went smoothly. It took me some time, to get my boarding pass because the online check-in only worked with a seat-reservation and this would’ve cost 5€. It would be a printer requiered as well, so i wouldnt have been able to print it out anyway. So that much from my side for this week.

Tuesday in Dublin

Hey there,

so lets talk about the things happend on tuesday. We didnt move to the new office on this day as well. Yep, i dont see it, that we will move there anytime soon. After i finished my task about the keywords of the webside and google crawled our side with the changed sourcecode we got the task to take a deeper look into the CRM-program vtiger. Neither of us (Virginia and me) have work with an CRM until now. So we needed to understand, what Fiona wanted to accomplish with that system. After a few minutes talking it through with her, we were as knowledgable as before. She couldnt say cleary but one word always stuck out. „reports“. So we had to figure something out. but that lasted until wednesday.

Monday – better late than never

hey,

Im sorry, i didnt get to write my blogs until now. I had a lot to do, the last days before eastern.
So monday, we were supposed to go to the new office. It was planned, that we would meet at Fionas (Fiona is my boss) and she would drive us to the new office. But that didnt work out. In Fiona opinion, it would take to much time to go there. So in the end we stayed in the kitchen. It got crowded in there, because one of the spanish salespeople sat there too, because they needed silence in the other room. In the end the four of us sat at the small kitchentable. I edited the keywords of the webpage again a bit, to get it higher ranked in the google search results and created my daily report about the social network hits. Then we had our daily meeting, how we could get more traffic on our side.

weekend almost over

hey there

yeah the weekend is nearly over and we didnt do anything special (suprise, suprise). Friday I was bummed out by work. I even slept in the bus at the way home. So i decided to just have a quiet evening. At this day Denny and I had pizza. The problem was, Dennys stomach didnt like it. So he spent the saturday in bed. I wandered between bed and living room. I wasn’t sick like Denny, but didnt have any motivation to do something. So I stayed in and watched movies (in english of course 😉 ). Like the saturday ended the sunday began. Just taking a shower and do nothing.

I think I didn’t tell you. But at work we are moving out of the house from our boss and in a business like office. It is a office for startup companies, if i understood her right. This may reduce the way to and from work slightly. 🙂 And maybe they even have comfortable chairs.

what else to tell

hey there, long time no see
i noticed i couldnt just keep you up to date with work related stuff and get my three posts a week so im going to write something else. Okay, i could just write down every single task im doing but that wouldnt be a fine read at all.

so… hmm… lets see… what is new
we where shopping yesterday and bought a lot of meat 🙂 but mostly chicken.

The traffic lights are a thing for themselves. The red traffic lights for pedestrians are permenant it seems. So nobody cares at all. Look left, then right, then just walk. Otherwise i could easly spend five minutes just crossing the street.

ah whats interesting too is: you can spend LOADS of money just ordering food. I wanted to order a pizza – guess what 22€ for a normal pizza. All right, i passed on that one.

the week after the weekend

yeah, you couldn’t read much from me lately.
I still work at the same place. The task i’m busy with at the moment is the SEO of the homepage. SEO means search enginge optimization and is to get the page on the first page of google. We have a meeting once a day, where all of us sit together and dicuss how we can populate our page and get more traffic on it without spending a cent (besides the cost for the internet access 😉 ). No cost is also the policy for the workers here. I have 5 co-workers here which are all unpaid students. Three from spain who can hardly speak any english. It’s sometimes hard to understand them, a chinese who speaks english very well and then there is Virginia from the other FSZ class. All tasks here are those of a webdeveloper. Not exactly the type of work i hoped for, but it’s interisting too.

the private part is kept a secret on purpose. I’m not the guy who needs or wants to tell the world what I am doing the whole day. And because this blog is found in google i keep that part for me

First Week done

Hey there, long time no see.
Yeah, the first week is over and what shall I say. Nothing has changed. Besides working. I work in a little company called ebamma which is going to be an online elearning platform for spanish and chinese people. Our task at the moment are to do statistcs of the social network profiles of ebamma and put them in a daily report. Next month we are going to launch a campaign. I didn’t take pictures because we work at the house of our boss. The house is in a little residential area so nowhere to go get warm food for lunch. The apartment is still empty. The janitor didnt show up to get the freezer or tv fixed either. I dont know what to tell you more. Not that many exciting things happened to me. So i’ll just call it a day. Enjoy your sunday
