MCM ComicCon Belfast

Hello everyone!

At saturday Tim, Martin, Nick, Joel and I went to the ComicCon here in Belfast. I really love to go to cenventios and suff like that. Just the feeling when you know everybody around you love comics, mangas or ponies! There were a lot of people selling some merchandise from popular comic series like Batman or from games like the Legend of Zelda but the thing I love most at conventions is the Cosplay. A cosplayer is a boy or a girl dressed up as a charakter from an anime or from a comic book and there were a lot of cosplayers. Have some pictures!

I really loved it because the people were nice and there were so much merch that you could buy. I think that Nick, Joel and I liked it but Tim and Martin not so much which I can understand. You have to be a fan of such stuff to like it or else you just staying there and think yourself „What is this?“

In the end I can say that it was a nice day even if we waited like one and a half hour in the rain to get our tickets. I am most happy about the Applejack plushie I bought which looks super cute together with the Link plushie from the Legend of Zelda that Joel bought.

Weekend with Joel

Hello everyone!

This week we got another visitor which isn’t Toni. No this time it was Joel, a student from the Strato AG, who came over and stayed for a weekend with us. It was good to see him again after 5 weeks which felt abit longer than it actualy was. I showed him a bit of Belfast at the day he arrived, we went shopping togethera and visited some sites. He told us something about his work in Derry and we told him something about our work here in Belfast. We went to the MCM ComicCon Belfast the very next day together to buy some merch and to make some pictures with the local costplayers and we did make some nice pictures, but I will tell more about it in another post.

Titanic

Hello everyone!

I think I already talked about that one market we have next to our work placement at the Lesley Exchange Building from Concentrix. At friday Tim and I were there again and agein we were looking for lunch. This time when we looked around we found another Burger stand but this one was special. It was so special because they had him and with him I mean the „Titanic Burger“. That Burger was giantic. Two times 6oz Steaks, two times Bacon pieces, four cheese slices, rocket, and grilled onions. When the griller finished the Burger he said „It is like a piece of art“ and I said „Beautiful“ then the man next to me said „Beautiful is the perfect word to discribe it …“. The taste of that Burger is … you know … I can’t tell you. It is indeed to good to say it in words you have to go and eat by yourself.

Coffe

Hello everyone!

I re-discovered my love for coffe! This morning were like every other morning and I was damn tired so I asked Peter where did he got his coffe and he told me that I bought his coffe at the central train station across the street. So I asked him if it were okay that I quick go there and buy me coffe and he said it were okay. At the train stastion I went into that coffe store and odered a big Cappuccino and wow was that an awesome Cappuccino. When I got back I already emptied it but I still wanted more coffe. I went to the vening machine and bought like 3 cups of coffe over the day. Damn it I really frickin love coffe!

I can say that I can work better with some cups of coffe and I think I know now where I go now before work starts.

Moving monday

Hello everybody!

Today Max, Tim and I had to swap the PCs from one trainings room in our main building with the PCs from a trainings room from another building at the opposite site of Belfast. We also had to swap the monitors, keyboards and mices which was completly senseless because the monitors where exactly the same and you could use the mices and keyboards everywhere. One thing that was kind of annoying was that we had to walk everytime but not with all the stuff because Peter drove it with his van but there wasn’t any place for 3 more people thats why we had to walk. Tomorrow we will have to set up those room because there was no time to do that today.

Half Time over? … Half Life 3 confirmed!!!

Hello everybody!

Sorry for that terrible „pun“ in the title but I saw it and then I had to make this „Half Life 3“ reference. There are two thing I really miss here in Belfast. The first thing is my PC. I just need to play a triple A title right now but it is impossible to do so with those laptops but so atleast I can get up on all those indie titles I have on my steam account.

The second thing I really miss is my e.V. and all the people with it. When I am back I have to go to one of our regular fiday meetups again and hug all the people I haven’t seen for two months. Just sitting down with some guys and girls you know and talk about technicolor ponies.

I have no picture that would really fit but I have a picture of an irish pony.

Working with Peter

Hello everybody!

I know I talk al lot about this guy  named Peter but I have to say he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I remeber that one time where this guy Toni was mad at us because we messed something up we didn’t know about and Peter tried everything to make him sure that we work correctly and do our tasks as it is told us. At one point I thought he is going to yell at him but right before that happened Toni gave in and apologised to us. I really love working with Peter because he tells us that we are good workers and have to start making things slower because we are to fast.

We all three hope that we can work all the time with Peter and they don’t send us to another building, also if that one guy Collins is also very nice but when we are with him he is doing all the work and we just staying right next to him and watching him do the work.

Just wait and hope for the best!

Weekend with Toni

Hello everyone!

This week we have Toni visiting us. I am really happy about it because I really miss the other ones like George and Angelo and now we have Toni here and that is at least something. Together we went with Toni through Belfast and showed him some sights like the Albert Tower or the Victoria City Center. It was really fun the time with him, he told us a lot from his work and he also told us something about his host family in Dublin. Toni promised that he will come here more often because its more intresting here and so we are together.

3 weeks already?

Hello everyone!

You know there is one thing I can’t imagine and that is that we are here for 3 weeks already. I mean it feels like we arrived last weekend and we still have so much to see and so much to do. We did a lot of stuff but we decided that we make another little sightseeing tour next week. There is one thing that I still have to manage and that is that tricky street system. I mean everytime I cross the street I have to look like 10 times to the right and 10 times to the left and when I start to walk there is a car tight next to me and I don’t know where it was coming from.

Third weekend in Belfast

Hello everyone!

This is now our third weekend in Belfast and it is already an awesome weekend because tomorrow at monday is bank holiday so we don’t have to go to work. Also this weekend was our movie weekend. Martin and I are watching a lot of „Burn Notice“ it is a about a spy who got fired by the government and he wants to find out why he was fired who he can get his old Job back and we watched a lot of Kong Fu films like Ip Man and Fearless. All in all it was a nice weekend!
