every journey begins with the first step…

Our goal during our stay in Ireland will be to improve our skills and get to know a new culture as well as to interact with a lot of people from different countries having different customs.
on the way to the airport
Eager to do so, the way to the airport seemed to be the longest part of this trip so far…

a team with a common goal
Having met at the airport, we were driven crazy by the delayed flight. Minutes seemed to last for hours.

leaving friends behind hurts
Unfortunately one of our buddies had to stay behind because of a missing visa (it’s his bag being brought back to its owner…).
Kashak we miss you!! XD

a flight as every other?
The flight lasted about 2 hours and allowed us to hear some Irish dialect from the crew most of never heard before. Some others „survived“ their first flight in their lives. Others got some sleep they apparently were missing somehow 😉

aer lingus everywhere
After touching Irish soil for the first time the learning process started immediately. The first thing we learned is that the airline we never heard of before apparently was a big player over here in Ireland…

David Coulthard???
The bus we got just 12 minutes after we got out of the terminal was another experience which beats every rollercoaster ride I had(Rene begs to differ here with me on this matter).
The bus driver managed to achieve what the plane couldn’t; he made a 2h trip in not even one and a half hours…

professionals at work
After setting up the most important infrastructure…

omnomnomnom
…and gathering nerd-digestible-resources…

fighting the fog of war
…we finally met to explore a truly beautiful city: Belfast

front-/shipyard
In order to learn more about Irish culture and plan our future trips we used the vast resources of the biggest Irish culture library located in Belfast.

a view to remember...
Our accommodation has a view that at least for me is far more than I expected.

front-/shipyard
Our front yard, being an old shipyard/industrial area is also a great area to be at.

I hope you enjoy this style of photo blogging as I enjoyed taking these pictures. Thanks for reading and expect more to come!
