Today was my first day in Lagan this week.
Get to know what happened.
Today was my first day in Lagan this week.
Get to know what happened.
Today is the day after. But after what? I`ll explain it 🙂
Today I’ve rewritten my GUI to make it even more flexible and to be able to show off some eye candy for the corporate presentation. My dynamic web application now delivers HTML-content but does not require even one line of HTML code (not even a real HTML-tag actually). But let me explain it in more detail this time. „jQuery zen“ weiterlesen
What’s up folks?!
Now I’m sitting here at the office from Steria with a muscle ache. Why is that you ask? I will tell you!
On Monday Andrew and I met with Simon at the Victoria Square Center. We drove to the very east of Belfast to a big warehouse of the government company I worked for the last couple of days. I still don’t know if I am allowed to tell you it’s name, so I won’t do it. Steria delegated a company to deliver six recks to the warehouse. For those of you who don’t know what a reck is: A reck is like a two metre high cupboard made of heavy metal where you can put in and combine many servers. „Paul Panser – Fitness Studio? Yeha like I promise yesterday, I will write today about me and my XML-Jemeter problem.
My day starts like yesterday, I go to bath, eat some mueslie, drink tea and so on. Nothing interesting happend on the way to Work, so I`ll skip it.
So now to my day and my database 🙂
My start in this week begann with the noisy sound of my alarm.
In the morning hapend nothing unusual, I go to bath, eat some mueslie, drink tea and talk to the other.
My bus witch should bring me to work dosn´t appear, so i have to wait for the next one, witch come an half hour later. Waiting for the bus i talk to Nettin, an indian employee of lagan. Nettin is here in Belfast for nearly 3 month and work for Lagan since 2 month. He is a very nice guy, we talk about the work an what everybody of us have to do, about the weather and some nice places he can recommend to visit.
Does this sound familiar to someone? You start with a conceptional piece of software and suddenly someone decides it should become the new company wide business solution…

Hi it’s me again!
Friday night me, Matze, Chris and Sven went to a University Pub/Club. I don’t know it’s name. The drinks were expensive as always and the skirts were short as always, too ;).
Because the music were crap we decided to go to the Laverys bar. It was really crowded in there, so we stood outside on the beer garden and had some talk, but the Belfaster were already really drunken so we hadn’t had a talk with some other guys there… The rest of the night we tried to find another pub which was still open… unsuccessful. „Paul Panser – My Weekend“ weiterlesen
Hi there,
yeah let’s continue to talk about what I have done so far.
Thursday I was supposed to meet with Barry, another peer from my project, in front of the BT Tower. There we had to re-install the anti virus of about 30 laptops. It was simple, I just had to deinstall the old version and then to install the new version of the AV-programm trough the network. After that he explained to me what the servers in their serverroom exactly do. „Paul Panser – Finally got real work“ weiterlesen
That’s the post where you will actually read and see something about my joy of being here and breathing fresh sea air.
During the first two weeks I had enough time to test run some jogging routes. I must admit it is a pleasure to run in the morning and breathe some sea air. It seems it has a positive effect on my running performance because in Germany the route i run before going to work is 5km long and here I run 5 miles and do not feel a difference. This will be a nice preparation for the team relay run in June where i run for the IT department of the MPIB.
My favorite track i use to run now leads along the Lagan lake and is quite pretty along with a spectacular scenery compared to my usual track in Berlin…
But see for yourselves:
