this article is about the very expensive life here in Belfast, an some tips related to beer, milk and water, you may want to read.
After my first week here in Belfast I can simply say beer and milk are really expensive. I cant imagine why, but something is simply going wrong here… .
But I will not complain. Milk is a good example. The milk here is on the one hand very expensive (nearly 2 times the price of german milk), but on the other hand the taste of fresh irish milk is unbelievable. Maybe it is hard for you to image but the milk tastes like meadow… i love it.
I can recommend some typical irish sorts of beer like guinness, kilkenny and if you like some sweeter beer, hobgoblin.
A other really strage fact, relatad to the weaker
infrastrukture, is a at least for me, untypical big ammount of chlorine in the water. Image you wake up, go to bathroom for a shower, but everything smells like in a public swimmingpool. Maybe you can ignore the bad smell but drinking the water is a different thing. In my opinion it can`t be good to drink such water. So I have to boil it before I can consume it, but it is no problem for me, because I always drink tea.
Yeah, these are my newest experiences in ireland. If i get more information about milk, beer or water, I promise I will update this article or write a second one.
I have to hurry now, my tea get cold.
