The first weekend

Hi guys,

the first weekend is finished and it was very interesting to discover Belfast. We could nice corner of Belfast see.

The weekend started Friday afternoon and we (the people in the apartment) have thought, that we go in a club, but unfortunately I had to remain in the apartment, because I have stupidly thought, that the minimum age from the club 21 years is. On the next morning, I have learn, that the minimum age 18 years is. What shall I say to this? Shit happens. 🙄

On Saturday morning, where the other guys slept yet, I’m driven with Martin to Jordanstown. There we have visited the „nice“ pebble beach.

Weekend

Last weekend I decided to go to the beach. Yeah that’s a lie – it’s only a coast. My roommate Benny and myself got up at first (about 11 o’clock) and went to Botanic Train Station and drove to Jordanstown in the near of my workplace at Newtownabbey.

These Saturday the weather was quite good because as it was not raining. But the temperature are only about 10 degrees and it’s windy, too. This does not compare to the very sunny Berlin.  But we have enjoyed the rays of sun which comes out briefly.

In the near of the coast is also a campsite. There I found some funny basic information for the car park. The translator was not the best.

Challenging IT project documentation

After finishing all the usual IT job startup tasks I had a first look at one of my projects: documenting a business intelligence application developed by my german colleague Mateusz Gwara, who spent his work experience at Translink last year. After Mateusz left Translink the application has been refined continuously, but nobody really cared about documentation … we’ll see what I will make out of it!

And because of the fact that I don’t want to bore you with another picture of my desk I’ve put a shot of Belfast city with some beautiful landscape in the background. (This photo can also be seen on the corresponding article on the afib website.)
