Hey readers,
this week the manager of IT asked me about my skills in networking.
I said, that I do an apprenticeship as IT specialist specialized for networking.
He was very happy to hear, I think.
The IT-Manager told about their problem with telephones in the company.
They use VoIP, but there were some bugs in the configuration of the VLANs.
On Thursday our task was to fix the configuration. So we changed the static IP on the telephones. We also changed the membership of VLANs on the switch ports. Now the telephones are working correctly.
By the way, they use Cisco switches, so this task exercised my configuration skills on Cisco devices.
Now my task is to document the steps for configure the VLAN membership.
Have a nice weekend!
