First Day In London

Steven who is my roommate and I didn’t know what to do on our first day so we decided to check out the nearest supermarkets which are Aldi and Lidl. After that we went to the nearest train station which is Catford Bridge so I could get myself an Oyster card and because we were already at the station we took the next train to go into the city.

So we went to the London Bridge walked over it and after that we walked along the Thames where we passed the London Tower and from there we went over the Tower Bridge. From there we went back to the London Bridge station and on the way we checked out a Tesco supermarket. We took the train back to Catford and went home.

The Journey Begins

My day started at 6:30 AM in Berlin Spandau where I woke up together with my girlfriend. I ate something and my father drove us to the Schönefeld Airport where I checked in with my suitcase and went through the security check which went really quick.
After walking for like 10 minutes over what felt like the entire airport me and Anton found our gate where the others where already waiting to get on the bus that would bring us to the plane.

The First Day and the First Exploring of London

My roommate Nickolas and I spent our first day in London with exploring the local area and shops. We went to Lidl and Aldi to compare if there are big differences between the one in London and in Germany. After that we went into the city to walk and explore a bit more. We took the train from Catford Bridge to London Bridge and walked over the London Bridge to the Tower of London and then walked over the Tower Bridge back to the train station London Bridge so we could take the train back home.

Arrival

Today we made our way to London for our two month internship. We started at 10 o clock in Berlin Schönefeld and landed at 11:40 o clock in London Stansted, we got picked up by our agency from the airport and then went to our host families. The flight was good and calm but the landing was a bit rough. My host family is located in southeast London in Lewisham and not far from the city I need around 20 minutes to get into the city.

So far I like it a lot and I am looking forward to get to know my company, where I am going to work for the next two months. We are spending the next week in the agency were we are going to have language course.

Our day of arrival

For a long time I had waited for the moment of the beginning of our stay abroad. Concerning the whereabouts we were offered to choose between between London and Belfast in Ireland. At the end, I chose London because of my relations to the city from earlier visits, a friend studying there, my Godfather coming to London sometimes and having lived there, England itself and Cambridge. „Our day of arrival“ weiterlesen

Das Auslandspraktikum

Im elften Jahr entsendet der afib (Ausbildungsverbund Fachinformatik Berlin) seine Fachinformatik-Azubis in ein Auslandspraktikum und setzt im Raum  Berlin/Brandenburg abermals ein Zeichen zur Steigerung der Qualität in der IT-Ausbildung. Die angehenden Fachinformatiker/innen des Lehrjahres 2017 sind Teil einer Gruppe mehrerer Auszubildenden, die ab 15.04.2019 einen achtwöchigen Auslandsaufenthalt in Belfast, bzw. London verbringen werden.
