All and all I was satisfied with some aspects of my internship in London, others not that much. On the one hand London was quite expensive, gladly I had saved up enough money to last me the two months. To add to that, my work placement wasn’t the best, considering it didn’t have much to do with IT related work.
On Saturday it was finally time. After a breakfast of cereal my roommate and I made our way to the twin agency headquarters, where we were picked up by a bus. The bus journey to the airport took about an hour, where we arrived way to early, at 3.
After 2 long month in a foreign country, our internship is coming to an end. Although I was rather sceptical and negative about the whole thing before my stay abroad, I have to say that it was worth it. Through the internship I was able to gain a lot of new experience. When I’m back in Germany I have a lot to tell. But new experiences are not the only thing I found here. By living together with people from different nations and with different background in the same accommodation, you have also learned a lot about yourself and perhaps also made new contacts.
Either way, I’m gonna remember this for a long time. Both the good and the bad things. And perhaps I will return later in my lifetime. You never know for sure.
Berlin – Departure
Starting early in the morning in Berlin I was pretty nervous about the flight and not missing anything. It was my first flight afterall. I arrived at Schönefeld Airport at around 8:30 am together with Kevin and Andy and we later met Florian at the terminal.
Luggage check in and security check cost us almost 2 hours, so we were ready to board just sly after 10:00 am.
In retrospect flying wasn’t as bad as I thought it would. Except the landing was pretty rough.
