Today I want to say something about my desperate search for a gym here in Belfast.
It begins with PureGym, a gym like „McFit“ in Berlin but it looks more secure… After ten minutes tour through the building it looks quite nice but for getting a membership there (£18.99) I need an Englisch bank account. But takes up to 2-3 weeks till it’s established. So I had to look further for another one…
So after some days I find the PEC. The Queen’s Sport. It’s a huge gym for all the students at the Queens University but also public people. There’s the possibility to swim, normal sport and so on. So for me it sounds really interesting so after work at Friday I went to there to get a possible membership…
I got the price information paper and was shoked after the receptionist say to me that 2 months will cost £72 pounds. I don’t want to swim… only normal sport. But that was not possible…
So my research goes on…
After some walk thhrough the town and some internet research I found a gym called „City Gym Belfast“. Sounds normal so I looked for some feedback and so. It sounds quite good and there is also the possibility to pay cash without contract… That’s perfect. So I get there and get my „membership“ and do some training…
It’s very small there but only a few member train there at the same time so no problem. It looks not very professional and nobody know how they get tons of weight in the third floor. The stairs were to small to bring them up there. But that’s not my problem 😉
