Looking back on the first week, I have settled in well in Belfast. The tasks at work are still simple at the moment, but I have the opportunity to contribute my own ideas and suggestions for improvement. Quiz Night
Today the agency organized a quiz night for all their interns in Belfast. For this we met at „The points“, a whiskey bar in the middle of the city. We could reach the bar in 20 minutes on foot. It was just like you imagined an Irish bar. Dark wooden furniture and violin music. it was really cool. Additionally there was a free drink for everyone. We were split in groups of 5 people and were given a sheet with the questions on it. The quiz was about questions about Belfast, Ireland and the EU. As a free drink I decided for a guinness because my colleagues had already recommended me to try it and it was really delicious.
Introduction meeting with the agency
Today we had our first meeting with the agency. We were told which duties we have in our accommodation and how to behave. We were also told how to behave in case of illness. Furthermore they told us something about the city. Afterwards we were guided through the city centre. We were then said goodbye there and were able to walk around on our own. From the city center we needed about 20 minutes to walk to our accommodation.
First glimpse of Belfast
At 7am I stood up and made my way to the Airport Schönefeld in Berlin. From there, our Plane flew straight to Belfast International Airport. Althrough I already flew once, it was still exiting. The flight took around 2 hours and went without any trouble. „First glimpse of Belfast“ weiterlesen
