I made a new Windows image for Niamh and I was finally able to test it with success,
everything worked as it should the computer was finished after the Windows installation and everything left to do was giving the computer a hostname, put the computer in the domain or install AVG cloud-care (appends if the computer should be in the domain or not) and activate bit-locker encryption which is the only thing what takes some time. The problem is, that I installed the test computer over night I didn’t know how long the installation took, but now I could test it on a second computer and I realized the Image is to big and the installation takes to much time. -.-
I started with the Installation an 9:30 AM and at 3:00 PM the Installation was still at 1%. I canceled the Installation and used the old image, but after the installation I reallized that the Windows updates won’t be finished till 5:00 PM so after all I decided to use the new Image over night and do the rest on the next morning. Now I’m trying to find a way to reduce the size of the image without loosing the Updates an the Office installation.
