What Belfast’s residents eat

This topic (refer to the title) was requested by my dad and I honestly have no idea what to tell you about it. I see and walk by a lot of people eating many different things. But I can’t tell whether they are real Belfastians (let’s use that term from now on). They could be tourists. I had lunch with a couple of co-workers a week ago, only one of them was a true Belfastian. He ate pizza. Adding someone to the sample: An Irish colleague in the bureau – desk facing towards me – always has some snacks stored on his table. What I see there right now is a half of a dark (70% cacao) chocolate bar, a banana, an orange and some package on which „organic“ is written on. Mysterious. Oh, and of course there is tea. Tea is probably the common ground for all Belfastians.

Signs of the city

Belfast has a lot of signs. The most common one I see is the „alcohol free area“ sign. It’s everywhere. I suppose this is a real issue here in Belfast. There are also a ton of signs which appeal to the pedestrians to keep the streets clean. No litter, no dog poop. One sign told me that the layout of a specific street recently changed. Another one displayed „Highway to Health“. That’s all definitely interesting. But can somebody tell my why they did not think about setting up street signs? Is that too much to ask for?

Let the music flow !!!

I just recognized it is already Wednesday, oh shoot. Time really flies by if you do things you really like (or don’t look at the watch). The second week just started and at the same time it is already ending. I think I need either to do more stuff to keep me busy or think of something useful.

None the less, all this mumbling still doesn’t resolve the title. Well then, let me enlighten you. „Let the music flow !!!“ weiterlesen
