„Winter is coming.“

(quote from Game of Thrones)

20th of May in 2018:

Our awaited ‚Game of Thrones‘ (GoT) tour took place today. This Sunday started early, but fortune wasn’t with us. First of all, I was exhausted. Second Son and I left the house quite early, but Google Maps or the GPS from my phone had some errors. My ’smartphone‘, which was stupid this time, navigated us to the wrong location. We had to run to the bus, which was exhausting. By the way, Son doesn’t have mobile data so he couldn’t help. Ten mins too late, we arrived the bus. Robert also joined this tour, cause he is such a huge fan of this series. „„Winter is coming.““ weiterlesen

I Missed The Rain….

The weather was perfect for a relaxed Sunday.

It was raining with a maximum of 15 °C and it was so cloudy that we needed to turn on the lights during the day. I really don’t like this kind of weather and especially the less daylight because it feels like that the day doesn’t even starts.

„Dancing is like dreaming with your feet!“

(quote from Constanze Mozart )

17th of May in 2018:

The handover of the document was today. My supervisor was satisfied with it. *Yes :D* My task continued by testing with colleagues, explaining everything about the new server farm. It is fantastic and makes fun to talk in English. To communicate with others with only one language is lovely. I enjoy it a lot. „„Dancing is like dreaming with your feet!““ weiterlesen

„Have fun because that’s what life is about.“

(quote from Ryan Lochte)

14th of May in 2018:

The last but one week started today. My supervisor was absent until tomorrow. I still got my current task, to set up the users at Outlook of Microsoft Office 365.
At home, a funny situation happened. Son often arrived home late, that’s why he can’t make dinner for us. Therefore he used to help sometimes, i.e. taking the trash out or cutting vegetables. Today Son learned that our accommodation has a second rubbish bin. It doesn’t sound funny but let me reconstruct the conversation, which has occurred today: „„Have fun because that’s what life is about.““ weiterlesen

„Prison itself is a tremendous education in need of patience and perseverance. It is above all a test of one’s commitment.“

(quote from Nelson Mandela)

13th of May in 2018:

Another sunny day in Belfast. I can’t stand the warm temperature anymore. I even got epistaxis or well-known as the nosebleed. Having breakfast, uploading some blog entries and watching series started my Sunday. „„Prison itself is a tremendous education in need of patience and perseverance. It is above all a test of one’s commitment.““ weiterlesen

Go to jail!

Early in the afternoon, we left to visit Crumlin Road Gaol Prison. Once there, everyone got a paper bracelet put on so we can participate in the tour. The guide told a lot about the history of the prison and showed us the different places where the prisoners lived. We even visited the execution room where the felons were hanged. After we were led into a tunnel, the tour ended after about 1½ hours. We briefly visited the souvenir shop and then left the prison.

Since I had eaten relatively little for breakfast, I bought a sandwich at Subway and then we go to the home where Jenny cooked for us today.
