Our plan for was to visit the St. George´s Market. It takes place in a hall (Indoor Market), where the exhibitors sell local art and craft and food. It holds a weekly market on Friday Variety Market, Saturday City Food and Garden Market, and Sunday Food, Craft and Antique Market. It was built between 1890 and 1896.

Sleeping is the best charging method for a human. So I slept until half-past nine a.m. and stayed in bed until 12 a.m. and watched series on Netflix. Nevertheless, the day started, and I decided to buy washing agent at Tesco Superstore. Of my clothes, there aren’t much left, which are clean, that’s why I have to wash them tomorrow.
After I had lunch, I decided to see some culture today. There are just seven weekends left, where I can experience the culture of Belfast. I want to enjoy the time here as much as I can. Even history has to be. In the early afternoon we decided to go to the city center today. At 3 pm we met in front of the City Hall. The City Hall of Belfast was built at the beginning of the 20th century and meanwhile serves as a museum. Since the entrance was free, we decided to go in and spend a little bit of time with the history of the city. In one room there was a throne on which one could sit down to take some pictures. Today I continued to work on the marketing of Amazon products. However, I did not much work because I had to leave earlier due to the Interneurope meeting. Since almost everyone was very reserved at the meeting, this was already finished after a short time.
After that we decided to have dinner together. We split into small groups to prepare for the evening. Giang, Jenny, Son and Tim went shopping, Robert and Guiliano got card games and Phi and I went home and cleaned up. We decided to do summer roles. After spending several hours preparing we could finally eat. I have never eaten summer rolls before, but they were delicious!
After dinner we first played the card game „Der Große Dalmuti“ and then until late in the evening UNO and “Tabletop Simulator”.
4th of April in 2018:
Today my day started a little bit earlier than the others. Even Colin (an employee from InternEurope) told me to begin work at 10 a.m.; I remembered that Kelli (She is my supervisor at ‚volunteer now‘.) asked me to start work at 8:30 a.m. Not a problem for me. It supposed to say ‚The early bird catches the worm.‘

2nd of April in 2018:
Today the rain woke me up.
The first sleep in a strange bed is unfamiliar. I usually slept but not enough, because I used to get up at 5 a.m. at home. Therefore I can´t sleep until 9 or 10 a.m. except when I am exhausted.
The room has two beds, two commodes, a desk and a wardrobe. One aspect, which bothers me a little bit is the space in the room. If I want to leave the room, I have to go sideward between the bed and the commodes to reach the door. All in all, I would say it has modest furniture. I know, I shouldn´t complain because it could have been worse. My mother often says: That is enough for a student to live.
Lao Tzu supposed to say that.
My „journey“ started on the 1st of April in 2018. But first, let me introduce myself.
I am Huong Giang Doan Thi, 21 years old. I am an apprentice as an Information Technology Specialist – specialising in System Integration. Part of my apprenticeship is foreign work experience. Because of that, I will stay in Belfast, the UK for the next two months. Therefore I am going to share my experiences on this blog. I am quite curious about this journey. To live and work in a foreign country for a long time was one of my wishes, which I have had since I was in middle school.
