Review of the fourth week
In germany we have the term „Bergfest“. That means that you are half through through something, that often takes a long time. So yesterday was Bergfest and we have 4 weeks left to go.
At this point, most of the magic is gone and a lot of things have become routine. For example, grocery shopping. After four weeks we know exactly where to get our food and where its the cheapest.
On thing that im most excited about in the upcoming weeks is the big „Game of Thrones“ tour. The tour will envolve a full busride around the Island, so we have the oppertunity to see a lot of Northern Ireland and especially the beautiful coasts. Furthermore since im a big fan of the series it will be interesting to see the filming locations in reality.
Fish and chips
Most of the time I go to the next tesco for lunch at work and get me packed bread or some fruits. Today I decided to eat something warm. There is a very small fish and chips take-away store near our workplace called „The Supreme“ (62 Sandy Row). Review of the third week
Now nearly the half of our internship has passed. The third week was really exiting. A highlight was especially the cinema.
Work has become more interesting and we started getting more challanging tasks. For example, we got to optimize the companys public website.
Meeting our english teacher
Today we met with our english teacher from our vocational school in germany. We decided to go into the oldest pub of belfast called „Laverys“ wich is family owned since 1918.
„We’re in the Endgame Now“
Yesterday we went to the Movie House located in Dublin Road. We decided to go that day, because every tuesday any movie just costs 3,50 pounds, which is incredible. Some of us are big fans of the Marvel-movies. So we really wanted to watch the shortly released film „Avengers: Endgame“ which is the final showdown of a long leading up movie series (21 so far).
Review of the second week
The second week has also passed. I didn’t enjoy that week as much as the first one. The main reason for that is the cold I had last week. Also the weather was really bad. We had a lot of rain and even a storm in the night. I was quite happy about the day off on monday and I really enjoyed the tour we took. Crumlin Road Gaol
Today we were at Crumlin Road Gaol. It’s a jail near the city center. It was built in 1846 and closed in 1996.
Our accommodation

Cave Hill
Today we visited Cave Hill. We ordered a cab because they are cheaper than a bus ticket. The cabs took us to Belfast Castle. First we walked around the castle and the beautiful park that was next to it.
