Winter is gone

[no spoilers] Today the final episode of Game of Thrones aired. Since I was really into the show in the last few months, I’m sad that its over now. A lot of people were unhappy about the last two seasons and how things turned out. In my opinion, it just felt rushed. I think a few more episodes would’ve done great improvement. This show will always be one of my favorites and im looking forward for the spin-offs to come.

Being here in Belfast where most of the show was shot, really hyped me up for the last season. This series has already become a small part of the culture here. When you explore the city you will always find people talking about it, or some art that is dedicadet to it and you’ll find merchandise everywhere. A coworker also told me, he lately saw Peter Dinklage casually walking throug the city. Furthermore, I noticed that the show had a high impact on tourism in Ireland. There are a lot of tours that are dedicated to the show. „Winter is gone“ weiterlesen

Tour through the city

This Saturday we decided to go to the city center early in the morning. The plan was to browse the St Georges Market again, to find souvenirs for our relatives in Germany and later to look for an opportunity to buy some clothes. „Tour through the city“ weiterlesen

Mid placement meeting with interneurope

Today is the first day of the second half of our internship in Belfast. A whole month has gone by like a flash. It didn’t feel that long if I’m honest. Everything has become a bit quieter than in the first weeks. We have settled in and everything is getting more routine. So also at work. „Mid placement meeting with interneurope“ weiterlesen

Review of the fourth week

In germany we have the term „Bergfest“. That means that you are half through through something, that often takes a long time. So yesterday was Bergfest and we have 4 weeks left to go.

At this point, most of the magic is gone and a lot of things have become routine. For example, grocery shopping. After four weeks we know exactly where to get our food and where its the cheapest.

On thing that im most excited about in the upcoming weeks is the big „Game of Thrones“ tour. The tour will envolve a full busride around the Island, so we have the oppertunity to see a lot of Northern Ireland and especially the beautiful coasts. Furthermore since im a big fan of the series it will be interesting to see the filming locations in reality.

Georges Market

Yesterday we went for the St. Georges Market. It was a quiet impressing to see such a market in the middle of the city, there were all sorts of things, including various sweets stands and fish stands. the building itself also had a certain flair. we rounded off the day at the market with a delicious burger. then we went home again and after we had prepared the fish bought at the market, we let the day end with a good series.
