2nd of May in 2018:

Work is going well. But today I have to leave my job earlier because we got a visit from Mr Bavar, who is our Afib-coordinator and the instructor of ‚Freie Universität Berlin‘, for a small chat with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. „„No one can deny the excitement of visiting another world.““ weiterlesen

29th of April in 2018:

The fourth Sunday in Belfast arrived, and I didn’t try Irish or English breakfast yet. Nevertheless, I concluded, or rather Robert suggested it yesterday, to have it today. Son, Robert and I went to ‚Eat Street‘, a restaurant specialised for vegan and vegetarian dishes. „„There has never been a sadness that can’t be cured by breakfast food.““ weiterlesen

28th of April in 2018:

This Saturday, we decided to journey to Dublin. The day started at Europa Bus Station at 9 a.m. I met the others at half-past eight to get the bus tickets printed out. After that, we got into the bus X2, the ‚Goldline‘ from Translink. What makes it specials is the route, where the bus only stops at Dublin Airport and Dublin Busara Bus Station in Dublin. The travel took us about two hours and just cost £17, where the return is inclusive. „„May your troubles be less, and your blessings be more. Sunday is usually for having a good night’s rest. I get up at half-past nine, because of my alarm. Today I intended to visit Ulster Museum, which locates next to the Botanic Gardens, at eleven a.m. with Dome, Son, Phi, Jenny and Giuliano.

InternEurope offered us to join a Tour to Giant’s Causeway. Allen’s Tour arranged this. I get up at half past seven a.m. to prepare some modest lunchboxes. I didn’t have many groceries in the fridge, but there isn’t much space left to store the food. That’s a shame because I didn’t want to spend much money to eat outside ^^‘

Giant’s Causeway Allen’s Tours

Day 21 21.04.2018 Saturday

One week ago Intern europe invited us to join their tour to the Giant’s Causeway with “Allen’s Tours – (Giant’s Causeway Tour | Belfast Bus Tours | Private Bus Hire Belfast)” for 14 pound. We met at 9:30 a.m. in front of the intern europe office and walked to the bus which was at the Allen office in Belfast. Inside of the bus it was very hot because the air conditioning system didn’t work. So instead of a climatized bus we had a sauna.

We visited many sites of Northern Ireland. We reached our main destination “Giant’s Causeway” after 3,5h of the bus tour. Beforehand we visited the “Carrickfergus Castle”. But it was only a small stop for 20 minutes. After that we went over the Magheramorne Quarry which is a known location of “Game of Thrones” because they filmed their scenes for Castle Black, Hardhome & the Wall there.

The busdriver always spoke to us on the way. He talked a lot about the history of the areas, always mentioning “Game of Thrones” locations and making jokes. „Giant’s Causeway Allen’s Tours“ weiterlesen

„All the flowers of all tomorrows are in the seeds of today.“

20th of April in 2018:

A busy week at work is over, and I had a lot to do. But I don’t mind. I get a lot of benefits. I remember all names of my colleagues (32 persons within this week but it was nothing comparing to the 45 names, which I memorise at my first work), get to know them better, get some information about IT employment market and received some excellent tips for my Belfast stay.
I also have to say, that three days in follow, there wasn’t any raindrop or similar. Sadly, I started to enjoy the rain here.

Monday 16th of April in 2018:

Like every day I start work at 9 a.m., my task for the following days is to collect pc issues. I got the chance to talk to nearly every member and get to know their names again. I think I can remember a lot of names now. It was easier at my first job because everyone had a name badge *grin*.
Jakob, Tim, Son and me had dinner outside. I wanted to have Fish and Chips‘ again because I enjoyed it much. I had at ‚Black Country Living Museum‘ in Dudley seven years ago. Sadly, today I didn’t bring enough money to buy one portion. Alternatively, I decided to have Texan Chips. This dish contains chips, Chilli con Carne and cheese.
