Dominiks Birthday

Day 13 13.04.2018 Friday

 

At work my task was to upgrade several “cisco Asa (Asa,ASDM,Firepower)” with the help of “Xlight a ftp server” for upcoming projects. Before that I had to look at the configuration which i had to apply yesterday because there were a few problems which I had to troubleshoot first, before I could finish it now. While the asa updates got installed, Richard showed me how he troubleshoots a network problem. He teached me a little bit about “Wireshark”(a network sniffer/ analyser program). It’s pretty cool that you can filter everything out, what you want to analyse. On this day I worked most of the time alone, to upgrade the Cisco Asa and troubleshoot network problems. Some problems really gave me a headache because they weren’t as straightforward as I thought. So I had to look up a lot of things to gain more knowledge to solve them. New network design

Day 11&12 11.-12.04.18 Wednesday&Thursday

 

On Wednesday I had to design a part of the network topology with microsoft visio. At the end of my work experience they want me to have the whole network infrastructure map in visio so they can look at it. Today i tested some configurations at cisco switches and cisco asa [firewall] devices which will later roll out into the live systems. Sunshine in Belfast

Day 9&10 09.-10.04.2018 Monday&Tuesday

 

At Monday I couldn’t believe it, but there was a day in Northern Ireland there it didn’t rain for 24h. If you guys ever go to Ireland you better should enjoy every bit of sunshine you can get. St. Georges Market

Day 8  08.04.2018 Sunday

 

On sunday we visited the “St. George’s Market”. At this market you will find a lot of different traders which sell different products. It is very entertaining to be in there. It is different to every other market I’ve visited before, because they had a live performance as a background music. We tested some curry, and some sweet goods. Some artists sold very beautiful paintings.
I wasn’t sure if i could take a picture of it. Probably not, so I didn’t. At the end of the visit I had a pullet beef burger with a special self made chilli sauce. I think it was one of the best pulled beef burger I ever had. „St. Georges Market“ weiterlesen

Exploring Belfast

This day we got up a little bit later because we wanted to start the day slowly. Me and Giang mixed ourselves a milkshake with fresh fruits to get some vitamins. First day of work

My first day of work started at 10:00 am. On my way I have met a colleague of mine, who also had his first work day at agnewcars. We both walked together to the store. It took us about 20 minutes. When we arrived we asked the secretary to call our contact person named “Nigel Skilling” but unfortunately he is not in this day. Intern Europe meeting, it’s getting serious and fitness

Today we met at 10:00 a.m. in the intern europe office to get important information concerning our stay here.

First we watched a video about Belfast with a few impressions about activities we can do here and basic informations about belfast like the 4 districts. After that we got some information about our stay at belfast. Discovery

Welcome back to my journey,

At the beginning of the day me and Giang did some sports to wake up.

Today it was raining the whole day but we went to tesco supermarket to get all other important household items. The supermarket got a larger range of shopping goods and it’s like 15-20% cheaper than tesco express. In the supermarket you will find a lot of discount offers for example “any 3 goods for 2 pounds”. Tesco stores are as big as the “Real” or “Kaufland” stores in Germany. After we got everything for our home we went with a companion to discover all of our work placements.
