This Saturday was quite eventful after waking up the first thing I did was to put my laundry in the washing machine and whilst my laundry was being washed I googled what to do today and I decided to book myself a Jack the Ripper walking tour for 7:30 PM which cost me 12,50£.

Review of the fifth week
Another week lies behind me now and there are three more to go. This week felt quite short and the days just flew by. I mostly enjoyed the weekend. We went to the St George’s Market on Saturday morning.
Just relaxing and watching movies
Today I woke up late as I had not a special plan for the day. I ate breakfast with my host mother and we talked about pets, about her older pets and about the pets from my parents. Such basic talks were prepared so often in school and now it wasn’t such a big deal for me to talk about these things.
After the breakfast I watched some movies. Afterwards I remembered that I don’t have water here anymore, so I decided to go out and buy some.
When I came back from the supermarket I got everything, some food and a new shower gel except the water I planned to buy. Of course I forgot the thing that I even went out to get.

The problem with the shoe shops
This weekend I tried to get a fitting pair of shoes, again.
My current shoes are starting to fall apart although they are not that old, but all the clothing stores and shoe shops I’ve been to so far do not have my size in stock or available at all.
I have a similar problem in Germany, its just not this bad.
After I tried three different stores today, I came home, slightly frustrated.
In front of the house where I’m staying was a car with its hazard lights on, standing in the leftmost lane. As this is a common sight in Berlin I thought nothing of it, until I heard the man trying again and again to start the engine.
I walked over to him and (as it was a very small car) offered to push him out of the lane of the busy road. It is an A-road after all.
He agreed, but did not turn into the driveway, after asking why he told me he thought I meant the car workshop up the road.
So, after clearing that up I pushed him there (again, it was a very small car).
He thanked me and jokingly said: „Saved you the trip to gym, haven’t I?“.
The play that goes wrong
After my jogging tour on Sunday I was in a rush. Because I was arranged with a new acquaintance to visit a theatre play. Fortunately, I arrived ten minutes earlier at Charing cross so there was even some to let myself advise about my Oyster Card. We met and looked for a meal. My acquaintance hit on the idea that I could have a look at a nice guide book for restaurant recommendations which I had bought yesterday at Tate Modern. We went to Pizzeria MOD Pizza. The doorman was attracting people. When I told him the way we found the restaurant he wanted to see the recommendation and showed my guide book to his colleagues. As soon as my pizza was ready, we went on our way straight to the theatre house. I was eating my pizza and when we arrived and let check our rucksacks the security forbid me to take my pizza into the lobby. After finishing the pizza outside we were short of time. But he my acquaintance collected the tickets already. Although most of the audience had sat already the play had not begun when we took our seats. There were very funny scenes and the way it was played was also nice. I would like to see another play by the same authors too. And I would definitely go to his theatre play again – whoever will come with me.
A run
I like jogging. But the first time I made it here in London was on Sunday. I planned my route with the app Komoot. I use the app also for biking and hiking and I can highly recommend it. With the app Runkeeper I tracked my run. It tells you the progress during your walk in accordance with a defined interval of distance or time. „A run“ weiterlesen

Tour through the city
This Saturday we decided to go to the city center early in the morning. The plan was to browse the St Georges Market again, to find souvenirs for our relatives in Germany and later to look for an opportunity to buy some clothes. „Tour through the city“ weiterlesen
Off to the City
Today we went out for some shopping. First we went to the Georges Market where Florian and I ordered the „Titanic Burger“, it was a very big burger and afterwards we were very full. With a lemonade in our hand we went to a Primark. On the way there we passed by a souvinir shop where everyone took a little souvenir with them. I bought a zippo lighter for myself because I collect them and the motive was very nice. After that we went to the primark, it was only for children and men, so it was quite empty. everyone had found and tried on some things because it wasn’t as crowded as in berlin. After everything was paid we went home and spent the rest of the day relaxed with a few series.
