31st of May in 2018:

All of us stayed in the living room because the rooms were muggy of the heat and no wind can’t cross. I slept only 2 hours and 45 minutes on the ground, which was comfortable. I used to sleep on the mattress consists of bamboo in Vietnam. What a great start to the last day of our work experience. Yes, this is the last day and also our departure from Belfast/Northern Ireland. 29th of May in 2018:

This day was the last but one working day of my work experience in Belfast. I finished all my task, which were unfinished. Today flew by that fast.
In the evening we went for an Irish dinner at ‚Morning Star‘, a recommendation of Tim :D. The atmosphere for our last evening together in Belfast was great. Unfortunately, the paying process was problematic. At first, they told us to separate the receipt by ourselves and go and pay separately. Then at the cashier, they said us it isn’t possible to settle up one by one. In the end, we had to borrow money from Tim, who paid by card. When Tim was settling up, another staff told him that we could pay individually. It was such a mess! „“Nothing lasts forever. Forever is a lie. Our last days in Belfast

As the title implies Im beginning to realise that our time in Belfast in coming to an end and as relieved Iam about that, Im also very sure that im going to miss it. But lets start with the last weekend and our Bank holiday. On thursday we had our last meeting with Intern Europe and we already planned to go to the Cavehill (the hill where the Belfast Castle is) but since no one was really prepared we just ended up in a pub again. On friday we had the last houseparty at my place with my some of my housemates which was very good but since we still wanted to get on the Cavehill we just partied till 3 am and then went to sleep so we could get up early in the morning. To shorten the story it didnt work like we hoped so we started our journey at 3 pm after the others had to wait for me since i missed my bus… after the last 30 minutes in the bus we finally arrived at the base of the mountain. The route we took wasnt the best we one we had to jump over a few barbed wire fences and met some cows which enjoyed the sun. Sadly we had to pass a thorn field and i wore short pants so you can guess what my legs looked like, but when we finally made it to the top everything was worth it the view is just stunning and you can sit in the grass with your legs right over the cliff. We walked on the mountain for like 2 hours before we went down since we wanted to go to a club for the last time over here. It was a great evening and I wasnt even that drunk. On sunday I didnt do much just spent a few hours under the sun in the Ormeau Park it was a truly beautiful day. Monday we had our Bank Holiday and because the weather was so great again we went up on the Cavehill once more but this time on different routes and with some beers it was a very hot day so we were very exhausted when we got up but because of the sun we got even better pictures this time. When we got back everyone was very hungry so we went to Tribal Burgers and had a huge feast. So after all I can say it was a great end to a really great time and in case I dont get to write another blog entry over here I already want to thank everyone who made this experience possible in advance and i encourage others to do it themselves.

Return to Germany!

It is now Wednesday evening. My suitcase has already been packed by Giang and I’m almost ready for departure. Actually, I wanted to go to bed already around 10:00 pm. But since we stayed in the living room for a long time and spent our last evening together, I decided not to sleep. Around 01:00 clock in the morning I went out again with Son. Since the last few days have always been very warm, the temperature outside was very pleasant. We talked a lot about the past eight weeks. „Return to Germany!“ weiterlesen

The day started quite relaxing. I finished to pack my luggage and enjoyed that Sunday.
Of course, we had to go to the Belfast Spring Continental Market. Now I have time and place in my blog entry to talk about this beautiful and impressive food market. The food market had a lot of booths from different nations as Italian, Greek, French with freshly made savoury pastries, Spain with paella, Netherlands, with Dutch pancakes, Germany, with currywurst and bratwurst sausages or ostrich or venison burger from the exotic meats of the World Traders. 25th of May in 2018:

Work was relaxed today because a colleague allowed me to leave earlier from work because there was just one colleague left in the office. I informed my supervisor by writing an email and left at 1 p.m. At home, I tried it one more time at the post office nearby our accommodation. I was lucky things didn’t turn out worse. I missed the collector for the parcels, but the staff gave me a discount of 10% for my 7 kg large package. Presentation in front of the whole IT team

Day 55 25.05.2018 Friday

 

On Friday I had to troubleshoot some apple tv’s because the app they use crashed. They couldn’t display any slide shows anymore. The reason for this was that the apple TV’s didn’t had the recent updates. Furthermore we tested the new network with a voice over ip telephone to discover if there were any problems or blind spots.

I also used this day to gather all signatures for my record book, in which I had to document my work because my company needs them to sign me in for my IHK final exam, where I must proof that my record book is complete.

This day was a very special one because my supervisor wanted Jakob and me to present our presentation in front of the whole IT team. „Presentation in front of the whole IT team“ weiterlesen
