On Saturday we started with a very English breakfast at St. Georg’s Market.
We ate bacon, sausages and more so it was a very heavy breakfast which filled me up.

„Prison itself is a tremendous education in need of patience and perseverance. It is above all a test of one’s commitment.“
(quote from Nelson Mandela)
13th of May in 2018:
Another sunny day in Belfast. I can’t stand the warm temperature anymore. I even got epistaxis or well-known as the nosebleed. Having breakfast, uploading some blog entries and watching series started my Sunday. „„Prison itself is a tremendous education in need of patience and perseverance. Go to jail!
Early in the afternoon, we left to visit Crumlin Road Gaol Prison. Once there, everyone got a paper bracelet put on so we can participate in the tour. The guide told a lot about the history of the prison and showed us the different places where the prisoners lived. We even visited the execution room where the felons were hanged. After we were led into a tunnel, the tour ended after about 1½ hours. We briefly visited the souvenir shop and then left the prison.
Since I had eaten relatively little for breakfast, I bought a sandwich at Subway and then we go to the home where Jenny cooked for us today.
The Crumlin Road Gaol
Today we wanted to check out the Crumlin Road Gaol at 2:00 pm, so I was able to sleep longer today. I slept until 12:30pm and at 1pm Giang, Son, Jenny, Dominik and I started our way to the Crumlin Road Gaol. Our first stop was the Belfast City Hall because we wanted to pick up Tim there. „The Crumlin Road Gaol“ weiterlesen
HM Prison Crumlin Road
Day 43 13.05.2018 Sunday
On Sunday I’ve visited the Crumlin Road Gaol Prison. Unfortunately, we couldn’t participate in a night/paranormal tour because we weren’t enough people (15 were needed) for the tour. Therefore the day tour was the only possibility.
At the beginning of the tour, we saw the rooms where the prisoners had to take off their personal clothes and let their hair get shaved off. Then they took us to the director’s room and the key storage room. And then we entered the prison.
It was like the type of prison you usually know from movies. I think this was my first time that I saw one from inside with my own eyes. „HM Prison Crumlin Road“ weiterlesen

Today was sunny Saturday. I know it’s not typical, but for the citizen, it’s a great pleasure to have such good weather from time to time. „„Belfast is the best and most convenient place in Ulster for the establishment of shipbuilding … „“ weiterlesen
Next stop: Titanic Belfast!
The plan for today was to visit the Titanic Belfast Museum. Since we wanted to be there at 2pm, I could sleep longer today. After a restful sleep, I took a hot bath. Before Son, Dominik, Jenny and I made our way, I ate something quickly. We had to walk for almost an hour, but fortunately we had super good weather. „Next stop: Titanic Belfast!“ weiterlesen
Titanic Museum
It’s Saturday again and today the plan is to visit the Titanic Museum. We walked from home about an hour to the harbor, where the museum is located. On the way, I made a short stop at St. Georges Market to buy some food. This time I could even buy the Pulled Pork Burger for 6 pounds. It was very delicious. „Titanic Museum“ weiterlesen
Belfast Titanic Museum | Titanic Quarter
Day 42 12.05.2018 Saturday
On Saturday my roommates and I visited the Belfast Titanic Museum.
I realized that I was already pretty near to the museum when I’ve visited Agnew Porsche the last time because this site is located in the Titanic Quarter.
In the museum, you can learn about the different stages of the construction of the Titanic. You can also gather some background information like the reason why the Titanic was built in Belfast or how it was launched.
There was also a small Titanic Museum Roller Coaster where you can hear conversations of the construction workers and see images while the carriage moved through the different stages. It was really interesting to hear what they were thinking. „Belfast Titanic Museum | Titanic Quarter“ weiterlesen
„There is nothing special in the world, nothing magic, just physics.“
(quote from Chuck Palahniuk)
First of all, I recognise that my blog entries are short. I am sorry for it, but nothing special happens during the week, where I can write a lot of content about it. Maybe I got used to the life here, and not many things surprise me anymore. I think because of that.
Usually, after work, I go home and have dinner with the others or relax and enjoy my time here. I hope my entries will be longer on the weekend *snicker* ^^‘. „„There is nothing special in the world, nothing magic, just physics.““ weiterlesen
