As I arrived at work today I continued with my tasks, still the same task like 2 weeks before. I am still working on a big project that is very hard. My biggest challenge was that students from all over the world have difficult names and some include umlauts or special characters. I tried a lot to convert every string to a UTF-8 one. I already had tried this last week, but the only thing I got was errors or weird outputs. Today I found another solution online and luckily it worked and now my program is working perfectly.
I also had contacted with the developer team from the CRM. I asked for a bigger limit variety for my API Key. Currently, I’m allowed to make 40 000 requests a day, this is fully okay in the normal usage. For the development testing I would appreciate some more requests. When I asked for a larger limit, I got the answer that I could buy a package which would increase my limit to 100 000 requests a day for “just” 500$/month. This is way too much and we still don’t know if we’re going to use this CRM. I also have to say that developing day by day the same or similar program is very annoying and it’s getting hard to focus. Overall an normal day at my workplace, let’s hope I’ll finish this project soon and get a better one.
