Finally I had tickets for the Giants causeway today. I was really excited as I heard many times how beautiful it should be. My expectations were exceeded.

Visiting the data center
Today there was not as much going on as usual at my work. I had to keep working on the website for a customer. I installed new plugins and configured them for the website. Then I drove with Graham to a data center to expand the storage capacity of one of our server with new hard drives. Routine
Day 34 04.05.2018 Friday
Like every Friday my department manager and I did some server clean up to free some space. We’ve been informed that one site didn’t display a wifi SSID so we had to create a new VSC Profile at the wireless controller. At this VSC Profile you had to define the display name (SSID) as well as the authentication it uses, etc. After a while we’ve received a message that one laptop couldn’t open an internal website. Neighbors cat visited us.
At Thursday the 3rd of May in 2018, I started my work at 9am and had to until 3.30pm because we had a meeting with „Intern Europe“. While I work I hear music and I found a song for what I search. Because since Belfast I was searching for a song and I heared this song everytime in my mind but I can´t remember on the title. And at the work I heared a song from the band and I remembered on the voice. And as I saw the band name I remembered on the song title.

Work is going well. Afib half time meeting
Day 32&33 02.05-03.05.2018
Wednesday and Thursday were a little bit different because I was allowed to leave work earlier because of a meeting. On Wednesday I had a meeting with my afib coordinator from our homecompany organisation [Charité, Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Free University Berlin).
He wanted to make sure that we had no issues with our work experience, accommodation or the company. We drank some coffee and hot chocolate together and ate tacos and burritos at “boojum”.
At the company I had to create a network route to a new printer, create new firewall rules and reactivate an account because a user had an issue with logging in to our domain. Afterwards I had to draw a network rack again for upcoming plannings. „Afib half time meeting“ weiterlesen
Great start in the new week
The new week started great for me we got some new Switches at work so i had something to do the whole day and after work i could finally go to the gym again. On Tuesday a colleague took me to his home for some GTA 5 we had good fun for a few hours until he drove home where i spent the evening with a housemate who cooked something.
We have reached the half time.
After the first half do you have to gain strength for the last half. In a football game do you have a break for this but not here. 30th of April in 2018 the first half is over, only one month left. On this day we had tow reasons to celebrate. Giang and Son move to us in our accomodation. In my break, I went fast at home to clean my room. After my work I gone to Giang and Son to help by pack. After the change of the accomodation, I cooked for us summer noodles with a lot of vegetables. After our dinner, we played „UNO“ in Dominiks room. Later we went in the bed.
New project | new accommodation | half time
Day 30&31 30.04-01.05.2018 Monday&Tuesday
On Monday I’ve prepared the wireless access points for the new project. I’ve documented their specifications and installed them. Afterwards, my department manager showed me how to backup an exchange server and explained to me the things you’ll have to consider when doing so while your company is in operation. We also had to go to one site to create nat and ACLs rules on a router for the CCTV.
Since Giang and I weren’t happy with our accommodation, we’ve asked Intern Europe, if we could move into the house of our classmates, which had a few empty beds left. We wanted to move because where were a few problems with our house: many things were broken and there was mould in the bathroom as well as in our room. The living situation just wasn’t running well. The accommodation of our schoolmates was a lot better than ours so Intern Europe allowed us to move.
